OMIQ allows you to easily create reports for your files, in Figure, using Batch Export
This article walks you through how to use batch export in creating reports. If you want to use regular figure export, please see our article on How to Export a Figure.

Click Add new child task and select Figure from the task selector.
Note that your Workflow might look slightly different, if you are using Compact View.
2. Create a Plot
Create the plot(s) that you need.

3. Export the Report Using Batch Export Figure
You can either choose to directly export the report to your computer using Batch Download or save the report in the Figure task using Batch Save to Task.
3.1 Batch Download
This will directly download the report onto your computer.
Click on Actions. Select Figure Actions. Select Batch Export Figure and click Batch Download.
3.1.1 Export as PDF
Select the tabs to export. Select PDF. Click on Submit.
Select the Files you want to include in the report. Select a Pagination Style. Tabs per file groups the report by file while Files per tab groups the report by tab. Click Submit. This will automatically generate the plot you have created for all the files selected and write them into a PDF file that will automatically download once done.
Optionally, you can include a Gating Tree Visual or any Metadata Attributes to the report. If you want, you can opt to have each file as its own PDF file by selecting Split File Sections into Separate PDFs.
3.1.2 Export as PPT
Select tabs to export. Select PPT. Format your PPT export.
-
PPT Objects (vector) allows you to customize aspects of your plot, has a higher resolution, and looks better for presentations. This would take longer to export.
- Flat Images (raster) runs faster than exporting the images as vectors however there is no ability to customize aspects of your plot and may not look as good on presentations.
Click on Submit.
Exporting as PPT Objects (Vector) allows you the flexibility to create SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) files for your figures. Learn more about SVG in our article on How Do I Export My Images as a Scalable Vector Graphic (SVG).
Select the Files you want to include in the report. Select a Pagination Style. Click on Submit. This will automatically generate the plot you have created for all the files selected and write them into a PPT file that will automatically download once done.
3.2 Batch Save to Task
This will save the report in the Figure task. This report will be visible when you share the workflow with your collaborators. To learn more about how to collaborate in OMIQ, please see our articles on Collaboration.
After running the Batch Save to Task function, any edits to the figures in the figure task can no longer be saved as there is an associated result for them. If you wanted to edit the figure, you would have to duplicate the Figure task.
Click on Actions. Select Figure Actions. Select Batch Export Figure and click Batch Save to Task. This will add a new set of tabs on top of the existing Figure tabs.
Click on the Setup tab to setup the batch export.
1. Select the Files you want to export then Select the Figure Tabs to Export.
2. Configure the Batch Export. Select whether you want a PDF file or a PPT file. Configure the file export as desired.
3. Click Run Export. This will take you to the Status tab and you can watch the progress. However, you are free to go back to your workflow or do whatever you please while this runs in the cloud. The status can also be seen in the Workflow itself, or you can have an email sent to you when it is completed.
Once the export is done, navigate to the Results tab and click the cloud icon to download the report.
