Box Plots summarizes your data as a graph that displays the minimum, maximum, quartile 1, quartile 3, upper and lower fence, mean and median.
1. Add a Figure Task
Click Add new child task and select Figure from the task selector.
Note that your Workflow might look slightly different, if you are using Compact View.
2. Add a Box Plot to Your Figure
Click on New Plot from either button shown below and select Box Plot.
3. Select the Files You Want to View on the Box Plot
Select your Box Plot by clicking on the selector indicated by the arrow below. Click on Settings. By default, all files are selected. If you want to view only a subset of the files, select those using the Select Files drop down menu.
4. Select the Filters You Want to Compare
Select the Filters you want to compare between Files or Metadata using the Select Filters drop down menu.
5. Select the Statistic You Want to Display on the Y-Axis
By default, the Percent of Total statistic is shown on the Y-axis. You can select a different statistic from the Statistic drop down menu. You can choose the following: Count, Count Ratio, Mean, Median, Percent of Grandparent, Percent of Parent, Percent of Total, Robust Standard Deviation, and Standard Deviation.
6. Choose the Metadata to Group the Files
You can select how you group the files by choosing a metadata dimension on the Metadata drop down menu.
7. Customize the Box Plot
Customize the Box Plot by changing the settings.
Hovering over a Box Plot displays the minimum, maximum, quartile 1, quartile 3, upper and lower fence, mean and median.
