Special X Axis plots can be created in the Figure task in OMIQ. Special X axis plots are a way to view multiple features or files across the X-axis. These are commonly used for spectral and titration plots, respectively.
1. Add a Figure Task

Click Add new child task and select Figure from the task selector.
Note that your Workflow might look slightly different, if you are using Compact View.
2. Create a New Plot

Click on New Plot. Select any two-dimensional plot option (e.g. Scatterplot or Contour Plot).
3. Features Special X Axis Plot
This plot enables you to plot multiple features across the X-axis, for example, for creating spectral plots.
Select your plot then click on Settings to open the Plot Settings.
Scroll down to the Special X Axis Mode setting within the Plot Settings.
Select Features.
Select the features you want to display on the Features for X. The scale of the Y axis is non-specific but will be controlled by the Y axis set at the Y-Axis setting, so we suggest using a fluorescent channel.
4. Files Special X axis plot
In this plot, you will choose one Y axis value, but can then plot several files across the X-axis, for example, when viewing titration data.

Select your plot then click on Settings to open the Plot Settings.
Choose Filename in the Select Data By setting.
Select Concat Files.
In Concat Files, Select the files you wish to display across the X-axis.
In the Y-Axis, select the channel you wish to display.

Scroll down to the Special X Axis Mode setting within the Plot Settings.
Select Files.
The files will display as File 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. You could then permute these plots to create a plot for every value of the Y-axis. To learn more, see Generate Figures Rapidly Using Permute.
OMIQ will label your files in the order of selection for concatenating. This means that the first file you select will be labeled as 1, the second will be labeled as 2, and so on.
5. Settings Available to both Features and File as Special X Axis
The Lane Width % and the Distribution Type setting options will become available after selecting either Features or Files as Special X Axis Plots.

Adjusting the Line Width % will decide how much your channels blend into one another. A higher number makes your channels wider, while a lower number makes your channels narrower.
Distribution type will switch between Gaussian (rounded) and Uniform (box) channels.
You can concatenate your files. To learn more about concatenating files, see Virtual Concatenation.
