You can either choose to directly export the figure to your computer using Download or save a file of the figure in the Figure task using Save to Task.
3.1 Download
This will directly download the figure onto your computer.
Click on Actions. Select Figure Actions. Select Export Figure and click Download.
3.1.1 Export a PDF
Select the tabs to export. Select PDF. Click on Submit. This will automatically download a PDF version of the selected tab(s).
3.1.2 Export as PPT
Select tabs to export. Select PPT. Format your PPT export.
-
PPT Objects (vector) allows you to customize aspects of your plot, has a higher resolution, and looks better for presentations. This would take longer to export.
- Flat Images (raster) runs faster than exporting the images as vectors however there is no ability to customize aspects of your plot and may not look as good on presentations.
Click on Submit. This will automatically download a PPT file for you.
Exporting as PPT Objects (Vector) allows you the flexibility to create SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) files for your figures. Learn more about SVG in our article on How Do I Export My Images as a Scalable Vector Graphic (SVG).
3.2 Save to Task
This will save the file of the exported figure in the Figure task. This report will be visible when you share the workflow with your collaborators. To learn more about how to collaborate in OMIQ, please see our articles on Collaboration.
After running the Save to Task function, any edits to the figures in the figure task can no longer be saved as there is an associated result for them. If you wanted to edit the figure, you would have to duplicate the Figure task.
Click on Actions. Select Figure Actions. Select Export Figure and click Save to Task. This will add a new set of tabs on top of the existing Figure tabs.
Click on the Setup tab to setup the export.
1. Select the Figure Tabs to Export.
2. Configure the Export. Select whether you want a PDF file or a PPT file. Configure the file export as desired.
3. Click Run Export. This will take you to the Status tab and you can watch the progress. However, you are free to go back to your workflow or do whatever you please while this runs in the cloud. The status can also be seen in the Workflow itself, or you can have an email sent to you when it is completed.
Once the export is done, navigate to the Results tab and click the cloud icon to download the file.
