Subset files allows you to select the files that you would want to retain or analyze for a particular branch in your workflow.
1. Add a Subset Files Task
Click Add new child task and select Subset Files from the task selector.
2. Configure Subset File Settings
Selecting files can be done in four different ways: Metadata OR, Metadata AND, File name, or Search term.
2.1 Metadata OR
The Metadata OR method allows you to select files that meet any of the metadata dimensions selected.
2.2 Metadata AND
The Metadata AND method allows you to select files that meet all the metadata dimensions selected.
2.3 File Name
The File Name method allows you to select files by file name.
2.4 Search Term
The Search Term method allows you to select files by inputting specific terms either within the file name or metadata.

The search term functionality works in a dynamic way, similar to the metadata functionalities. This means that OMIQ will select files based on the chosen search terms if new files are added into the dataset. Similarly, if the workflow is used as a template, OMIQ can use the search terms in the Subset Files task to select files matching the search terms.
3. Save Subset Files Settings
Click Save Settings.
