You can limit the amount of points displayed in a gating plot. This is a visualization aid only and does not remove events from the file. This will also will not affect the statistics displayed.
1. Add a Gating Task
Click Add new child task and select Gating from the task selector.
Note that your Workflow might look slightly different if you are using Compact View.
2. Turn on the Limit
By default, the limit is not selected in the Plot Settings, to enable, first select Limit the Number of Points.

3. Enter a Limit
Input a Number of Points that will be applied as a limit.
The image above shows a limit of 4000 points being displayed in the plot. Note the information is visible in the plot itself (red arrow).
The limit does not affect the statistics but is used as a visualization aid. The following plot types are supported: Scatterplot (Density), Scatterplot (Solid), and Contour Plot.
