OMIQ allows users to import compatible files inside a folder. This can be handy when you are working with data generated from a high throughput system (for example, using a 96-well plate reader) as you will have these data within folders. You can upload multiple folders at the same time. To learn how to upload data as individual files, please see our article: Uploading Data Into OMIQ.
You can upload files directly from a cytometry machine connected to Luma Lab Connect (LLC). To learn more, please see our support article Automatically Upload Your Data with Luma Lab Connect (LLC).
1. Create a Dataset

Files in OMIQ are stored in a Dataset. Once you are logged on, you can see the Datasets view. Click Create Dataset.
Existing Datasets will be displayed upon log-in.

Name your dataset. Click Create.
2. Batch Upload Files in Folders

You can upload files contained in a folder. Drag & Drop the folder/s that contains your files.

Select the Files you want to upload. Click Submit.
In the example above, we are uploading to folders named Plate 1 and Plate 2.
Once you have submitted your files, you can monitor the progress of the File Upload Status.
When uploading files inside a folder, the folder name becomes a prefix of your file within OMIQ following this syntax: [Folder name] your file name.fcs. For example, if you have a "Plate 1" folder containing an A01.fcs file, uploading your "Plate 1" folder will result in the file being called [Plate 1] A01.fcs and if you have another folder named "Plate 2" with an A01.fcs file, uploading "Plate 2" folder will result in the the file being called [Plate 2] A01.fcs in OMIQ. This will allow you track files with identical names across folders.
3. Upload Files to an Existing Dataset
You can add new files into an existing dataset.
Open the Dataset you want to add files to. Click on File Actions then select Upload Files.
The file upload box will then be shown. Follow Step 2 batch upload files in folders.
