I'm leaving the lab, how can I transfer my license?

There are several ways to transfer your resources to another user. Below is our recommended method so that access can easily be passed on again as necessary by adding people to the established group. 

When transferring resources like workflows or datasets to new owners, it is necessary to establish a connection between accounts beforehand. It's important to note that establishing a connection does not automatically share your data; it only grants permission. To establish a connection:

1. Log into app.omiq.ai and click on the Profile tab
2. Scroll down to Connections, enter your colleague's email address, and Send Request

   1. Once a connection request is sent, the recipient will receive an email notification. To accept the request, they will need to register and/or log in to app.omiq.ai and go to the Connections section where they can click on the "accept" button.
      
      

      
      
      Note: You may proceed with the next step before your colleague completes the connection. They will gain access to your resources once the connection has successfully been formed and added to the group.
      
      

3. Create a group under the Profile tab
   
   

4. Select the group, click Add Users , select your colleague's email, change role to Admin, and submit.
5. Navigate to the Datasets tab select … on the upper right-hand side, then Bulk Change Owner

    

   
   
   
   Note: Consider using Bulk Add Tags for Datasets before transferring ownership in order to tag a piece of useful information such as you being the original owner.
   
   
6. Select the datasets you would like to transfer, then select the newly created group as the new owner of the datasets
7. Do the same for your Workflows

Once you have completed the steps above, please reach out to us and let us know that you have transferred your resources and would like to transfer the license from (your OMIQ account email address) to (your colleague’s OMIQ account email address). We will update our records and your colleague will take over the remaining time left on your subscription term.
