A question that comes up every so often is whether or not OMIQ has folders (like those found on a traditional computer system) to help organize datasets. The current answer is no. We are considering implementing this functionality, though we have an alternative that we feel is better. It is a search functionality using Dataset Tags. Dataset Tags are metadata associated with a Dataset.
1. Add or Edit Workflow Tags
Dataset tags are managed within the Tags & Notes tab in a dataset. Click on Edit Dataset Tags.

Type in your desired Keyword and corresponding Value. To add more rows, click Add Row. Once you are done, click Submit.
2. Add or Edit Dataset Notes
Dataset notes function similar to a lab notebook wherein you can put your own notes about the particular dataset.
Dataset notes are managed within the Tags & Notes tab in a dataset. Add your desired notes in the Dataset Notes. Once done, click Save to store your notes.
Useful Tip: Search for Datasets Using Dataset Tags

In the Datasets page, you can easily search for datasets that have similar Dataset tags. To do this, click on the Filter Datasets by Tag which will bring up a menu to show your Dataset tags.
Choosing multiple dataset tags will broaden the search field.
