How to edit template workflows in OMIQ. Templates are versioned and immutable, therefore, to make changes to your templates, it is required that you edit and create a new version of them.
1. Creating a Template
Not to state the obvious, but you need to create a template before you can edit it. Default workflows in OMIQ are not templates. Click here to read our guide on Creating and Using Workflow Templates.
2. Create a Template Draft
To edit/update a Template, it must first be converted to a draft, then edited, then updated. Open your Template (this can be found in the Workflows list) ➝ Click ⫶ Actions ➝ Template Actions ➝ Create Template Draft. You will see the warning shown above, to continue editing the Template, you need to click Confirm.
3. Edit your Template
You can make edits to the Template while it is in (Draft). Once you have completed your edits, the draft can be incremented to the next version of the Template. Click ⫶ Actions ➝ Template Actions ➝ Update Template Version.
Add any Notes for Template Version 2 and click Submit.
You will now see the updated version of your Template. Click on the Details tab to view any notes that were added, the version change, and the Template ID of the original Template.
